If you're eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan through your GP, you may be able to claim a Medicare rebate for appointments with our Accredited Mental Health Social Workers.

You don't need a referral to book an appointment. A Mental Health Treatment Plan is only required if you'd like to access Medicare rebates.

If you're unsure whether you're eligible, we're happy to answer any questions before your first appointment.

Medicare Rebates

Do I need a referral?

Frequently Asked Questions

CLOSE

No. You can book directly with us at any time. If you'd like to access a Medicare rebate, you'll need a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP.

Can I claim a Medicare rebate?

CLOSE

Appointments with our Accredited Mental Health Social Workers may be eligible for a Medicare rebate if you have a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan.

We'll process your rebate after your appointment, making the process as straightforward as possible.

Can I use my private health insurance?

CLOSE

Depending on your level of cover, you may be able to claim rebates through your private health fund.

We recommend contacting your insurer directly to confirm your eligibility and rebate amount.

How long are appointments?

CLOSE

Therapy appointments are 50 minutes.

How many sessions will I need?

CLOSE

There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer. Some people come for support through a specific life event, while others choose to continue working together over a longer period.

We'll regularly review your goals together and tailor therapy to your needs rather than recommending a set number of sessions.

What happens in the first session?

CLOSE

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another.

We'll explore what's brought you to therapy, what's happening in your life or relationships, what you'd like support with and what you hope will be different moving forward.

There's no pressure to tell your whole story in one appointment—we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Do you offer online appointments?

CLOSE

Yes. We offer secure online counselling for individuals, couples and families across Australia. Many clients enjoy the flexibility of attending therapy from home, work or while travelling.

What is your cancellation policy?

CLOSE

We understand that life happens and sometimes appointments need to change.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice. This allows us the opportunity to offer your appointment to someone else who may be waiting for support.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice will incur a $50 late cancellation fee.

Appointments cancelled on the day of your appointment, or where you do not attend your scheduled session, will incur the full session fee.

Is everything we discuss confidential?

CLOSE

Yes.
Your privacy is incredibly important to us.

Everything discussed in therapy is confidential, except in rare situations where we're legally required to disclose information, for example, if there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or someone else, or where disclosure is otherwise required by law. We'll always explain these limits to confidentiality during your first appointment and they are outlined in the privacy forms you signed prior to your appointment.

We're here to help.
